A true altruist
The conversations I have with Evan anymore are absolutely hilarious, and I should have a recorder on him at all times since you never know when you might catch a gem.
Last night, we spent 15 minutes in the bunk beds, he on top, me on the bottom, talking about stuff we loved. It started nicely, with him saying "I love you, Dad!" and quickly spiraled down from there.
Evan: "I love school!"
Me: "I love Mommy."
Evan: "I love walls."
Me: "I love chairs."
Evan: "I love socks."
Me: "I love hot dogs!"
Evan: "OOOH ME TOO! But with no ketchup or mustard."
I wanted to add in an "I love lamp" but he wouldn't get the joke.
He also very kindly stepped aside in our Rock Band session last night, letting me play the drums by myself. He's usually the singer and serves up a very emotional version of "My Sharona," or sharono as he calls it.
Evan: "Dad, I want you to play March of the Pigs by yourself."
He's such a giver, that kid.
