CSI in HD
I'm not a huge CSI fan, but in high definition it's a completly different show. The colors, especially the scenes inside the lab, jump out from the screen. I watch the show just because it's so pretty to watch.
I notice this too for CSI:Miami, especially in the wide establishing shots of the city. Miami has a much different color palate as a show - oranges and the like, while regular CSI features greens and blues.
Anyways, tonight's CSI is special, and you'll see if it you're watching in 16x9 widescreen HD.
From HDBeat, a great site for HD on TV news:
Tune in at 9 p.m. on CBS as the crew tracks down a rapist who posed as a fireman to sadly put out his own sexual fire unlawfully. Here's the twist in 1080i: the CSI crew is followed by a reality TV crew for a completely different perspective on the show.
Neat. I'll watch. Neat stuff like this reminds me of the My Name is Earl HD easter eggs. I'd love to watch Earl in HD, but our backcountry cable system only carries CBS in HD. Sure we get TNT, ESPN and more, but for the big three networks, it's only CBS.
