Day 6 Starts Tonight

Jack is back!

Season 6 of 24 starts with two hours tonight and two more hours on Monday. They still haven't explained how we got out of China alive, and how in the world Wayne Palmer is the president - I still hold out hope that Tony is alive and will come back - he got played like such a punk in Season 5. You're telling me Edgar and Samwise Gamgee get the silent clock and Tony Almeida, the baddest dude behind Jack Bauer, gets off by Robocop and that was it. Weak sauce, dude.

I like that they run the season straight through with no Lost-style breaks, but the downside is that we have to wait for January for the season to start.

UPDATE: Great start to Day 6. Did anyone else notice the Stephen Merchant cameo right at the beginning of the first episode? He is the co-creator of the UK Office and Extras - he's turned up in tons of other places too, like Green Wing.

A quick peek at his Wikipedia page does in fact say he filmed a quick cameo for 24. Cool - and I get bonus dork points for catching it. Here's his Green Wing bit:

I haven't seen the Green Wing Christmas special - anyone have it?
