Did the newspaper arrive?

Posted January 14, 2007

Looks_like_your_newspaper_hasn't_come_again._Would.jpg.pngIt's Sunday - did the Erie Times-News Sunday paper arrive?

Of course not.

A call has been placed, but the odds are that nothing will ever come.

If there is no paper today, I will call, get the money refunded, and either subscribe to the Meadville Tribune or spend the money on some Wii stuff. Either way, I'd be getting more out of it then I am with the Erie Times Publishing Company.

UPDATE: The paper mysteriously has arrived. We've also been promised a call from the District Manager on Monday, though if I had to wager a guess I'd say he/she won't call.

When I lived on 8th Street for a year, my apt got the paper all the time. We never subscribed to it and we didn't share an address with anyone else.

Don't waste your time on the Erie Times. Blind rats report better than the ETN.

Years ago we had a trial subscription. There was nothing in it and we decided to let it run out. It just so happened that we were going on vacation the following week. Wouldn't ya know they kept delivering the paper and we had a stack of week-old papers at our front door. I had to call and say "Stop delivering the newspaper. I don't have a subscription." Months later I got a letter saying that I was going to be sued in a collections court for the newspapers they delivered that I didn't ask for or want. I called them up and I have never so seriously lost my sh*t on an accounting department in my life. The only ETN I bought since was on Sept. 12, 2001.

Do people still read the ETN? I just get my news from Erie Blogs (seriously).
