Erie Loves BOB? Do we, really?

Posted January 11, 2007

Hint to Connoisseur Media, who recently launched a Jack/Bob station here in Erie: we don't like it when you try to be cute and call it Eerie. My guess is the out-of-town marketing people that did this had to bang it out pretty quickly and didn't proof their ad.

You can follow more about this at Jack Tirak's great Erie Media blog. The first entry is here, and there's more follow-up here. When you read the comments, you'll find most people are upset at the change with no warning, and the dumping of 2 popular morning jocks.

We snapped this picture this morning. Sorry for the poor quality, we actually had to go back with the DVR to rewatch the commercial to make sure it really did happen.

Agreed! What a bunch of assholes! Wonder what the local convention and visitors bureau thinks?

We have Joe Lang to thank for BOB FM!

This has nothing to do with your post, but I thought I'd let you know that for some reason you popped up in a dream I had last night, and you wanted to play football. I haven't seen you in years, so I have no idea why. I guess I'm screwed up.

we have a bob in pittsburgh. "very little repetition"? please! ours plays the same damn songs over and over again just like every other radio station, it's just that they're older songs.

i preferred joe lang when he hosted "love songs" on classy 100. ;)
