Exit Strategy
It's been all quiet on the western front the last week or so. Turning 30 has come and gone, and while I'm still a bit freaked out by the whole thing, I'm starting to realize it's no big deal.
We're also just hanging out waiting for the baby. Jennifer's 38 weeks early next week, so really it's pretty much any day now and waiting and worrying about that seems to take up most of my (and while I can't speak for Jennifer, I'll assume her as well) time and energy.
It's strange that there's actually going to be another person in the house very soon. Since we first found out back in September, it's been a very abstract idea, and a scary one given our history with Evan. We've survived so far, and things have gone so much better then either of us imagined. It's going to be weird to have a normal birth experience (as normal as things with Jennifer and I can get), a baby that can come home with us rather than one that stays in the hospital for 6 weeks, etc.
So, we wait, as the baby formulates it's exit strategy. I hope it gets one hell of a golden parachute.
