HigherEd BlogCon

Posted November 22, 2005

I guess I can blog about this now, as both PRNewswire and Syndication for Higher Education have written about it, so I can say that I'll be participating in HigherEd BlogCon, an all-online event exploring new media and new online social tools in higher education.

I'm honored to be asked to be the section chair for the web, tools and web development track. I'm working on putting together a great program highlighting the use of RSS, blogs, wikis, podcasting and more in higher ed, and focusing on the technical and integration challenges of those tools. The call for presentations will go out soon, so check out the website.

Dan Karleen and Dan Forbush have assembled a great team of professionals and I think all of the sessions and tracks will be very informative to a wide-range of higher education professionals, faculty and technologists. I know I'll be learning quite a bit.
