Where's the bandwidth?

Posted October 14, 2007

What happens when you're at a conference with a couple of hundred other web nerds - and the only way to connect to the web is via TMobile wi-fi?

You get dial-up speeds, which is frustrating when you're trying to gather up the last couple of things you need for your presentation tomorrow. I'm tempted to go to my sister's house when I need to do interweb things.

It should also be a rule to only travel to a place where you have family. This evening, we recorded a screencast for HigherEdExperts.com and we brought everything but a USB cable. Luckily, my sister had an extra and lives just a few minutes from the hotel I'm at. Thanks, Jo! You saved us tonight, we owe you.
